The finances of the parish
It costs about £250,000 a year to run our church. That is about £5000 a week to ensure that the Clergy are paid, the building is properly maintained and heated, the parish affairs are efficiently run and the Music continues to the highest standards.
Our church relies for its upkeep on the stewardship of the congregation in financial support and time and talents. We do not have any endowments nor do we receive any support from the State.
Regular committed giving allows us to plan ahead and our Stewardship Secretary will be pleased to give you more information or you might like a visit from someone who is already in the scheme to help you.
The most efficient way to give to the Church is by the Gift Aid Scheme. For help with this please click here.
Our building is Grade 1 listed and requires a great deal of maintenance. We recently upgraded and improved the rooms in the Crypt. We added a disabled toilet and a greatly enlarged kitchen. I addition to the church meetings and sunday schools this space is used widely by local clubs and community groups as well as by the Church Row Nursery.
