A sublime experienceSheena Ginnings
One Thursday in mid May I went to Evensong. The Church was quiet and still and the sun was coming through the West windows. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The Choir began to sing and their voices filled the space. That Thursday some members of the professional choir were taking part but it was the beautiful clear Junior Choir voices that had me spellbound. And when they sang Rutter’s Clare Benediction I got goose bumps. It was truly a sublime experience. I am not usually in Hampstead on Thursday evenings but in future I will try to be there.
The Junior Choir sings Evensong at 6.30 pm on Thursdays during term time. If you have time do go.
